Days For Girls charity allows women and girls to go out during menstruation by providing them with their own unique, sustainable feminine hygiene kit. Our simple solution gives the days back to the girls. Days that change their lives.

Menstrual cups can be life changing. My Cup NZ offers a opportunities for clubs to donate a cup to a person in need. 

Clubs are helping My Cup NZ to end period poverty in NZ by providing a safe, eco-conscious, economic and healthy menstrual management solution.

The current District Project for NZ294 is ‘High 5’ which provides school bags for 5 year olds starting school in low income areas. The bags are donated by The Warehouse in each area and are filled by clubs with school essentials such as lunch box, drink bottle, stationery, sunhat, small gift etc. Our District ISO, Carolyn Crutch, reported that “I was in the Warehouse some months ago and wee girl aged about 5 was wearing one of the back packs. I stopped and said Hello and asked about her backpack. She said some lovely Wheel ladies gave them to her school.”

So far around 80 school bags have been filled and delivered to schools in our District, and the project will continue for another year.

NZ297 are assisting in knitting hats for newborns in Ethiopia through Hats for Hamlin. These handmade creations will offer warmth and comfort to babies born in rural areas where cold nights are common and resources are scarce.

A warm hat can be lifesaving for a vulnerable newborn. And in communities where women traditionally birth at home without medical care, gifting a baby hat encourages mothers to seek a safe delivery with a skilled Hamlin midwife - potentially saving both their lives.
